  1. What is a teflex sheet? Could I use parchment paper?

  2. I imagine parchment paper would work, but I haven’t tried it myself.

  3. Yes. Parchment paper will work quite well! I Haven’t tried THIS recipe yet but I have dehydrated some fruit leathers before and I used parchment paper.

  4. I followed the directions, and after 6 hours, the rollup was dry….I mean cracked and totally dry. What happened?

  5. Can I use the oven? I don’t have a dehydrator.

  6. Yes, just set it at the lowest temperature. Make sure you have something underneath it to catch anything that drips, maybe prop the door open a bit so it doesn’t get too hot in there, and watch it carefully!

  7. So if I do use the oven, is it for the same amount of time?

  8. @Jenny – We actually haven’t tried this in the oven, so I’m not positive. However, I’d assume it’s going to take less time in the oven since even at the lowest heat (and with the door propped open) it’s going to be hotter than a dehydrator. It might even be more like half the time in the oven. Watch it carefully and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks,
    Neely
