In today’s busy world it always seems like there are a million things to do. This can sometimes make it difficult when it comes to planning out meals for the week, especially if you have children who tend to be rather picky when it comes to their food choices. This is why a lot of people tend to buy pre-packaged foods to feed their family when it’s time for dinner. After a long day, the last thing anyone wants to do is try to figure out how to make a homemade meal that everyone will love.
What if you found out that with just a little bit of information as well as a little bit of pre-planning, you could feed your entire family meals that are both easy-to-make and good for you? Following the Paleo diet plan is a great solution and can make this happen. With just a little bit of effort in the beginning to learn the few guidelines of the Paleo diet, you will be feeding your family fresh and nutritious meals every night of the week.
The Paleo Diet
The Paleo diet refers to the way people ate before the advent of agriculture. The Paleo diet food list includes meat, seafood, lots of fruits and vegetables, and nuts and seeds. Foods that were not eaten prior to the advent of agriculture and thus should be avoided include dairy, grains (there are white/wheat flour substitutions), legumes, refined sweeteners, “vegetable” oils, fruit juices, soft drinks, and refined, iodized salt.
Paleo Diet Menu
A Paleo meal plan is really easy to follow. There are hundreds of combinations that can be made with the foods that are allowed and that means that nobody will get bored of the Paleo diet. Also, once kids find a meal they like, they tend to want that particular meal often, which makes it that much easier to plan out dinner meals for the week.
A Few Dinner Choices
The following is a short list of some of the dinner choices available when choosing to follow the Paleo diet:
- Paleo Pizza – Everybody loves a good pizza!
- Apple Glazed Turkey Breast – Be sure to serve with lots of your favorite vegetables
- Beef Pot Roast – A popular dinner meal for fall and winter
- Bun-less Burgers – All the protein without the whole grains
- Spaghetti – Noodles made with squash are just as good and better for you
