I don’t know about you, but I’m a very visual learner. You can tell me how to do something on paper or with your voice, but I’ll understand it about 100% better if you show me. Or if someone on a video shows me. We had to watch about fifty youtube videos to figure out how to make our camper van recently, and now I know how to use plumbers tape, among other things :)
The same goes with cooking. Recipes are great, but it’s really awesome to have someone actually show me how to do something, rather than just read it. That’s why cooking shows have made people like Paula Deen and Martha Stewart into bazillionaires. We like to see what we’re going to be eating, and we want someone to show us how to create it.
Joe Rignola of www.wellnesspunks.com realized there was a need for more showing and telling in the Paleo and Primal cooking world. Luckily for us, he created the Primal Cooking Workshop, a 5 day event that includes 15 videos of Joe and our favorite Primal chefs creating delicious goodies and divulging their kitchen secrets.
And we get to watch them for free!
You can check out all the details and register to get the free videos here.
Here are some highlights.
Starting next Monday, August 4th, 2013, there will be 3 videos each day for 5 days that we can watch for 24 hours for free. After the 24 hours are up, you’ll have to pay to watch them. You can sign up to get email alerts about the videos plus free preview videos this week. I signed up!
Here is a sample of what we’ll be learning in the vids.
- Mira and Jayson Calton will teach us how to make “zughetti”
- George Bryant will make some porky pork dishes and show us some invaluable kitchen skills.
- Abel James and Alyson Bridge will make “cheesecake”.
- Diane Sanfilippo will show us how to make the perfect steak (I’m definitely watching that one…)
- And 11 more chefs will bestow upon us their wisdom and secrets :)
So go check it out!
Learn some new things, practice them at home, then come to my house (never mind – I’ll come to you in my van) and let me eat some of whatever you make :)
