The Importance of Good Posture

"Like the way you picked up that 5 gallon water jug; completely rounding out your back and neglecting to use your legs as the primary movers of the weight." "Uh….huh?" "You lifted with your back, instead of your legs." "Ohhhh….That's bad, right?" Our First Success Story for Our Fitness Plan, PaleoFit!

This testimonial about our fitness plan, PaleoFit, is by Jennifer Shippee, who is Max Shippee's (PaleoFit's creator) cousin-in-law, married to Max's cousin, Ben. About a year ago, she made a call to Max to ask for help with her workouts. She is a stay-at-home mom of four kids, with no time to make it to the gym. She was embarrassed to call. It's hard to ask for help, and for her, even worse since it was family. She's worked hard, … Continue reading

"I can't squat" "Why not?" "My knees hurt." "Well, let's have a look at your squat." ...22 seconds later... "Are you feeling pain now?" "Um....no." "Seriously?" "Wow! Not at all!" I often wonder if our cavemen ancestors had movement issues. They didn't have coaches to show them how to move properly, or inform them about how going into ketosis is OK during the low food season. Then again, our ancestors weren't sitting all day in their cars & at their … Continue reading
