Ingredients

  • 1 pound(s) pork, ground
  • 2 teaspoon(s) honey, raw or maple syrup
  • 1 medium garlic clove(s) minced
  • 2 teaspoon(s) sage, dried
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sea salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon(s) thyme, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg, ground

Instructions

  1. With clean dry hands, combine all ingredients together in a large bowl. Be careful not to over mix the meat: stop when just combined.
  2. Place the bowl into the fridge to chill for about 15 minutes.
  3. Once chilled, divide the mixture into four equal parts on a baking sheet.
  4. Divide to form into patties about 2 1/2 inches wide. Approximately 2 per serving.
  5. At this point you can refrigerate or freeze patties for later use.
  6. Heat a cast iron skillet to high and fry sausage patties two or three at a time, until cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.
  7. Place cooked patties on a plate lined with paper towel to drain.
