Almond Flour/Meal or Butter
Servings 4
Total Time: 5 minutes
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- almonds
Instructions
- Using a food processor, process almonds until they are "meal-like." Do not overprocess or you will get almond butter. Store Almond Meal/Flour in the fridge or freezer-- seeled tightly in a ziploc bag or tupperware.
- Alternatively, keep processing for almond butter. Store in a jar, add a little Extra LIGHT Olive Oil on top to stir in. Store in fridge.
I seem to fail at making almond butter. It looks more like a biscuit base than a smooth creamy butter ._.
Chloe – Just blend it for longer. 5 minutes should do the trick.
I used a little olive oil and a little coconut oil. plus I added a little raw honey. came out great. just add a little olive oil at a time and keep mixing until its a creamy consistency. it will still taste a little grainy but I used salted roasted almonds from a can of mixed nuts. if you use raw almonds, soak them overnight in water first.
How long will almond butter keep in the refrigerator?
