This week in the Paleo Plan world, we found a few articles, websites, or blog posts that we thought were interesting. Thought I’d share them here. On top of that, we reached some milestones ourselves this week. We finished editing our upcoming book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Paleo with Penguin Publishing, which will be out in April ’12. We also made some serious progress on our upcoming Paleo Challenge eBook – more to come on that soon.

Graffiti Diabetes

First up, a certain graffiti artist has captured my heart with the work in the picture below. Read the article on it here. If anything causes diabetes, it’s Burger King’s overt glorification of completely wrecked, sugar- and omega 6-filled foods. This guy rendered a pretty accurate portrayal of the results of eating crap as your entreé, side, and dessert.

Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit

Next up, have you seen this guy at fit2fat2fit.com? He’s all but destroying his physical and emotional health, not to mention his marriage, by trying to prove to all of us just how bad the typical American diet and lifestyle really are. He went from being a super ripped, hot guy to, well, an average American, in the last 6 months. He hopes to reverse that and show you in his blog how he does it (the transformation will include Paleo-ish food choices). Here’s a primer.

Paleo Is Healthy (Medicine Says So)

Also, conventional medicine is coming to terms with the fact that eating Paleo may just help your health after all. Duh. Here’s CBS report on how docs, nutritionists, and even CBS reporters are coming to their senses.

Forks Over Knives is Forked Up

Finally, this blog post by Denise Minger about the (in)validity of the movie, “Forks Over Knives”, isn’t super new, but it’s worth sending you to now. I can’t tell you how many people have threatened to go vegan in my presence recently, and solely because of this movie based on flawed research and preposterous extrapolations. Do the research (or read Denise’s meticulous take on it) before you switch to veganism yourself. And send the link to your friends. There’s some good info in that movie about whole, fresh foods, but meat is not the devil.
