4 Ways Paleo Plan Can Help You With Your New Year’s Resolutions

Since we’ve had such a flurry of activity over here at Paleo Plan, I wanted to take a moment to bring you all up to speed on what’s happened at the website, what we’re offering now, and how all these things can help you lose weight, stay on track with a Paleo diet, and get fit for the new year.

For a long time now, Jason and I have been wanting to add tools to Paleo Plan to help you guys learn about the Paleo lifestyle and make it an easy part of your lives. But we were a little hampered by the system we had in place to take orders and manage people’s accounts. In a word, PayPal sucks :)

But in the summer, Jason found a solution to that problem, and by October our team was toasting (via text messages) to our newer, better backend system that would make your experience with the website a more streamlined one. We also updated the look and flow of the site so you could find what you’re looking for more easily.

In the meantime, we were busy creating new tools we knew you guys would love. So alongside all of our free content on Paleo Plan (this blog, all of our resource pages, and our paleo diet recipes), here’s a round-up of the products we offer at Paleo Plan, all of which help to make eating and living Paleo easier.

The weekly meal plan is still the same awesome meal plan we’ve always provided. No change here. It’s an inexpensive ($9.99/mo) way to have all your Paleo meals – breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner – planned out for you every day of every week. You get weekly PDFs of menus, prep instructions, and grocery lists that are linked to our delicious recipes on Paleo Plan. The meal plans are created by Sally Johnson, our Registered and Licensed Dietitian and meal planner extraordinaire. See more details here.

We’ve had our Quickstart Guide and Paleo Challenge eBook available for over a year, so no change here either. This guidebook to Paleo was written by yours truly and the meal plans created by Molly Pearl, and it includes 6 weeks of our awesome meal plans and over 100 recipes.

The first 65 pages are an overview and explanation of the diet, plus a ton of FAQ’s, instructions on how to eat at restaurants, what to do if you’re an athlete, how to keep track of your progress, and how to make it into a “Paleo Challenge”. You can buy a “personal license” to this guide for $34 or your gym or health practitioner can buy it to distribute to their members or patients for $300. See more details here.

We get a lot of questions from people about how to follow the Paleo autoimmune protocol that Robb Wolf and others have laid out – the iteration of Paleo that takes out the most inflammatory Paleo foods: eggs and nightshades. We also get a lot of emails from people who want meal plans that don’t include nuts or seeds because of allergies or sensitivities.

So we made this ebook for all of those people and everyone who really wants to figure out what foods are causing them symptoms of inflammation. The first 65 pages are an overview of Paleo and an explanation of how these extra foods cause inflammation. The next 100 pages are 3 weeks of Paleo meal plans without any eggs, nightshades, nuts, or seeds. It’s a fantastic tool to help you get a fresh start, lose some weight if necessary, and figure out your food triggers. The ebook is $25 and you can get more details on it here.

Max Shippee, owner of CrossFit 1440 in the Los Angeles area, teamed up with us to create PaleoFit weekly workout plans for people wanting to get strong in a natural way. Every week you receive a set of 3 main workouts and 1 “mini” workout, complete with instructional videos and modifications to make the workouts easier or harder.

Yes, Max is a CrossFit guy and these movements are things you might do in a CrossFit gym, but you’re not doing CrossFit per se. You use only your bodyweight and simple props to do these workouts. They’re quick and effective, never lasting more than 20 minutes, and you can do them anywhere. And they’re way cheaper than a gym membership at $9.99 a month or $15 a month for both PaleoFit and Paleo Plan’s meal plan subscriptions. For more details on PaleoFit, go here.

So there you have it. Paleo Plan in a nutshell. We hope very much that you find these tools useful and helpful in your quest for better health and fitness!

Happy New Year, everyone!
