Back To School – Are You Ready?

Calling all kiddos (big and small)!

Can you believe it’s already time to head back to school!? Even if you’re not a parent, autumn often equates to more hours spent commuting and a greater need to manage your time and plan ahead for meals.

Whether you’re packing a Paleo lunch for yourself or for the apple of your eye, making the transition back to school or work requires a shift away from mostly home-cooked meals towards lunch box mentality, that is, buying and packing healthy, whole food meals to-go.

Packin’ Paleo doesn’t have to be complicated, but planning ahead will save you a ton of time and energy (and money)! We design our awesome meal plans to use dinner leftovers for lunch, which travel easily in non-toxic lunch boxes and portable coolers.

You can prep for a week’s worth of lunches in two weekly chop n’ cook sessions (I’ve found Wednesdays and Sundays to work best). It takes between 1-2 hours to meal prep and batch cook all of the veggies and meats you’ll want to have on hand, but I assure you it’s well worth the effort and will save you a ton of time in the long run.

Prepping in advance makes throwing together lunch boxes in the moment a breeze, so you can spend your mental energy focusing on other things…like homework and Pokemon Go! ;)

Is Pokemon Go Paleo?

Paleo PlanI was sitting in my rocking chair, morning coffee in hand, when I started seeing tweets about something called Pokemon Go. Our cavemen ancestors are surely spinning in their stone-etched graves!

Am I saying you’re a Paleo fraud if you’ve played Pokemon Go? Yes! (Kidding!)
