Clovis Protein Powder Product Review

clovis-Bottle_preview.jpgWe’ve written about Paleo protein powders before, but when it comes down to choosing the best protein powder, there’s a new player in the game who will change everything. I’m talking about Clovis Nutrition’s Perfect Paleo Powder. I’ve tried just about every Paleo protein powder that exists, and I am not exaggerating when I say that the Perfect Paleo Powder is hands down my favorite.

clovis-Nutrition-Facts_preview-213x300.jpgWhile Clovis sent me some free samples for my review, this is based on my honest opinion. Not only do I wholeheartedly recommend this product to any of you who are looking for a Paleo protein powder, but I have now become a customer myself. For busy moms, athletes, or anyone else who needs a quick protein meal and wants less mess and less prep, protein shakes have long been a go to. Now, you can be a Paleo eater and consume a healthy and delicious protein powder. Like I said, I have tried almost every possible Paleo friendly protein powder that exists, and most of them have weird aftertastes, don’t contain enough protein, are too gritty, or are only borderline Paleo. The Perfect Paleo Powder actually tastes great, contains no objectionable ingredients, and provides an ideal 27 grams of protein per serving. The protein sources are chicken, beef, and salmon. When I initially read the label and saw salmon I thought, “Oh good, a protein powder that will taste fishy.” But there is no fish taste. In fact, there is no aftertaste at all. That’s rare for a non-whey protein powder.

I personally think that a Paleo-friendly protein powder is a great addition to your Paleo pantry if you’re someone who struggles with food prep, needs quick meals for long work days, or simply wants to cut down on messes because you’re washing ten thousand bottles a day (like many new moms or parents in general).

You can make a protein drink using this Perfect Paleo Powder and just almond milk or coconut milk, or you can make a full-fledged smoothie, like I did. I included blueberries, matcha, a banana, some greens, and some collagen to make my smoothie a powerhouse packed beverage. But the powder tastes great just mixed with a single liquid, too. You could easily mix on the go, shake, and drink.
