Hunting for your supper is as Ancestral as it gets and wild game is the pinnacle of Paleo meat sources. Wild game such as rabbit, pheasant, bison and venison is generally leaner than domesticated animals, relatively high in healthy omega-3 fatty acids and free of hormones and antibiotics. If you don’t have the ability or desire to hunt but want to expand your meat horizons you can purchase game in high end or specialty food stores or on-line. In the US, store-bought game will have been raised on farms in accordance with food laws, not hunted in the wild but you’ll still get something exotic onto the table.
